No Man Should be in Bondage to Another

President McKay has issued a call to the Saints to sacrifice on behalf of their religious, political, and economic freedoms which are threatened by welfare state practices. Consider his words carefully:

No greater immediate responsibility rests upon members of the Church, upon all citizens of this Republic and of neighboring Republics, than to protect the freedom vouchsafed by the Constitution of the United States.
Let us, by exercising our privileges under the Constitution—
(1) Preserve our right to worship God according to the dictates of our conscience.
(2) Preserve the right to work when and where we choose. No free man should be compelled to pay tribute in order to realize this God-given privilege.

Read in the Doctrine and Covenants this statement:
…it is not right that any man should be in bondage one to another. (D&C 101:79)

(3) Feel free to plant and to reap without the handicap of bureaucratic interference.
(4) Devote our time, means, and life if necessary, to hold inviolate those laws which will secure to each individual the free exercise of conscience, the right and control of property, and the protection of life. (David O. McKay, Statements on Communism and the Constitution of the United States, 1966, pp. 11-12)

This whole quote came from “Many Are Called But Few Are Chosen” by H. Verlan Andersen published in 1967. Brother Andersen was a great advocate of Liberty and the US Constitution yet he was often quoting the Prophets of the Lord, as here from then President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and Prophet to the World David O. McKay. I notice it is very timely for us today.

As always in the history of man, Heavenly Father has given many years of warning about the dangers we place ourselves in to ignore His teachings. These warnings are by no means the first in modern America. Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington all warned us back in the last half of the 18Th century to be a righteous people staying close to God and protecting our freedoms at all cost. Now many Americans are more interested in their wealth, security or comforts more than their liberty.

Some day, probably soon, He will tire of our excuse making and ignoring the warnings and commandments to worship the one true God; at that time many will loose the chance to repent while in this earth. We are fast loosing our liberty in America and the longer we wait to stand up to an out of control government the worse it will be when we finally do. Now is the time to speak before we loose the freedom of speech, and a means to be heard.

I choose to cry repentance as I know no other solution. America cannot stay under wicked leaders secretly aligned to serve the Devil and his Satanic programs of enslavement, wickedness and murder and still be blessed by God. God has allowed men to deteriorate into wickedness or rise to him and now we must choose whom we will serve. He is patient but as children continue to be destroyed He will give retribution; to those guilty of idolatry and sacrificing the babies in pure and evil decadence. Sodom & Gomorrah was destroyed for evil less than is being practiced today.

There are good people who are still returning to the Church and this is a factor in prolonging the state of affairs in such a horrid mess. This may be the silver lining to Americas open borders. Along with terrorists, drug runners and slave traders coming to America many good and humble people who are entering a more free country, accepting the Gospel and returning to God. We must protect the freedoms that allow this to happen and repent of our wrongs and lacks in sharing and living the Gospel ways taught for so long.
