An Ageless Constitution

“The structure has been erected by architects of consummate skill and fidelity; its foundations are solid; its components are beautiful, as well as useful; its arrangements are full of wisdom and order….”

“…and its defenses are impregnable from without. It has been reared for immortality, if the work of man may justly aspire to such a title. It may, nevertheless, perish in an hour by the folly, or corruption, or negligence of its only keepers, THE PEOPLE. Republics are created by virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens.”

-Justice Joseph Story

In November 1811, at the age of thirty-two, he became the youngest Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Judge Story continues to be the youngest-appointed Supreme Court Justice. (September 18, 1779 – September 10, 1845)

  1. Christy Williams sent this in response to my post:In regard to the economy and government “intervention,” did any of you hear about the new law that will make it ILLEGAL to buy and sell used children’s clothing and toys, as of Feb 10th? It’s he most absurd thing I’ve ever heard of. And to do it in a hard economic time? Makes me wonder in anyone even read the thing before they voted.Go here for more info!
